AFL Grand Final Repeat Preview

September 28th, 2010

AFL fans and punters across the world are preparing for the AFL Grand Final replay after the Grand Final resulted in a 68-68 draw. The two teams will meet up once again at the MCG this Saturday, October 2.

Both of these teams have had the opportunity to size one another up and will go into this AFL Grand Final replay on fairly even ground. But, the Saints will have that much more confidence as they know they have what it takes to slay Collingwood. This could give them that extra bit of edge that they need to tip the score in their favour this time around. Once again, skipper Nick Reiwoldt will be key in inspiring a winning performance. Watch for the St Kilda captain to lead by example from the start.

On the other side of the field, the Collingwood Magpies may have to regroup a bit. They were looking visibly tested after their Grand Final bout with the Saints, which may have shaken their confidence. Watch for this team to get back to their winning ways as they now know they’ll need to play an entire game of fantastic footy to topple the Saints. Nathan Brown will be a key factor in Collingwood’s success. Brown stepped in for Simon Prestigiacomo in last week’s Grand Final and did a fantastic job of shutting down Reiwoldt. Should Brown be called up again, he’ll need to repeat that brilliance.

The AFL Grand Final replay is the perfect opportunity for punters to get in on the AFL Grand Final betting. Ladbrokes.com.au has released their odds on the upcoming event, including some very temping 41.00 odds on another draw.
